Blake's background gives him firsthand insight into pitching mechanics, building arm strength, and developing consistency on the mound. Most importantly his infectious energy and ability to make the game fun are invaluable to our camp and also plays a huge part in what makes him successful on the field!

Strengths & What He Brings to Camp
Kirby combines real SEC experience with years of hands-on coaching at Florida Flex. He understands how to teach the game in a way young players connect with and grow from.

Kirby was also an early mentor to Colby during his first years at Florida, helping him understand what it would take to be successful and how to handle the pressures of the game at a high level.

Colby believes Dale is the kind of teammate every player wants. He is a great ballplayer, brings great energy to the field, and always looks for ways to help the team succeed. Dale enjoys working with young players on fundamentals, confidence, and learning how to be a great teammate both on and off the field.

• Right-handed pitcher, 6′5″, drafted in 2022 by the Oakland Athletics (17th round, 514th overall). 

• At Miami:

  • Freshman (2020): 1-0 record with a 1.93 ERA over 9.1 innings, 12 strikeouts. 

  • 2021: In 13 starts (68.0 IP), went 6-4 with a 5.69 ERA and 38 strikeouts. 

  • 2022: Pitched 65.1 innings with a 3.99 ERA. 

• In the minors (as of 2025): over 305.1 innings, he’s recorded 219 strikeouts and holds a 1.42 WHIP. 

What Jake Brings to Camp
Jake brings lots of collegiate and professional experience to the field. His attitude and knowledge of pitching mechanics, etc. help him to give young pitchers everything they need to progress. He’s focused on helping youth build proper fundamentals, arm health, and confidence on the mound.

Coaching Career & Background

• Cory is currently a hitting coach within the San Francisco Giants organization, working with many top prospects at the AA level. 

• Prior to joining pro ball, he served as hitting coach and recruiting coordinator at the collegiate level, he spent several years coaching at St. Johns River State College in Florida. 

• Since joining the Giants system, Cory has coached hitters through multiple levels and has helped oversee the development and promotion of many young players.
